February 4: Patron Appreciation Concert. Soprano Irina Mozyleva and pianist Svetlana Gorokhovich offer songs of Broadway and Hollywood along with classics by Rachmaninoff. Reception following. Both musicians are veterans of Carnegie Hall and the Caramoor Festival. There is no charge for this concert which is open to all those who have supported Downtown Music in 2006 or plan to do so in 2007. Downtown Music’s new chamber orchestra, Downtown Sinfonietta (composed of players from the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra and the Downtown Music Chorus join forces for this program of choral masterpieces including Coronation Anthems of George Frederick Handel and the Haydn “Lord Nelson” Mass. Soprano Norene Bueti, alto Mary Kent, tenor Kyle Bradford and baritone Rob Weintraub are the soloists. Tim Lewis and Vincent Lionti conduct.
