The Church with a Heart in the Heart of the City

Formation & Education For Children, Youth and Adults.

At Grace, we strive to provide a safe, caring community where all know that they are honored and welcome; a place where all will be formed into Christians willing to share the gifts God has given them with the world.

We offer Baptismal and Confirmation preparation for children, youth and adults as well as preparation and planning for weddings, funerals and other sacramental rites.

For Children:

Sunday school meets from 9:45 AM to 10:45 AM(Sept.- June) Children up to 12 years of age learn the sacred story and tradition using The Episcopal Children’s Curriculum, a revised and updated children’s curriculum from the Virginia Theological Seminary, published by Morehouse Publishers. They join the adults at the Peace in order to be with us for communion

Special Programs:

During the year there are distinctive programs for children such as our Christmas Eve pageant and Stations for Children on Good Friday. Please see the Angelus or the parish bulletin for details as we approach these dates.

We offer a rich program for young people ages 12-18 called Journey to Adulthood (“J2A”).

This group meets from 11:45am on Sundays.

The high school program (J2A), also meets from 11:45 a.m on Sunday.  J2A has participated in fund raising, retreats, mission and service activities and fun outings.  They have become our parish youth group.
